Skype DUALphone 3088

I think i found my new toy … the Skype DUALphone 3088 … it’s not cheap, €139 (€153,05 inc. shipping), but at the rate herself is making calls back to Finland I’ll make that back in a matter of weeks. Anyone out there have this particular piece of wizardry?

    We like the no-computer-Dualphone. We used its older brother for three years and it was better than a Gigaset but to get the Skype functionality you needed to jack it into a computer. The Dualphone 3088, once flashed, works just with the router. And it works over the fence and in the neighbour’s kitchen. Cordless Skype kicks ass.

    Being an impulsive online shopper I just went ahead and ordered it. It’s good to know there are satisfied customers out there and I just didn’t waste 153 quid :)

    I ordered one of these on Monday, and it was delivered the next day.

    It took all of 5 minutes to get it up and running… a couple of test calls, and then left the handset to charge fully.

    It’s a lovely piece of kit. And having being using Skype for a couple of years (with a headset… yuk), this feels like the best thing since sliced bread.

    The only comment I get from the other end is that the volume is a bit low, and I can’t find any volume control…

    Get it. You’ll be very happy with it.

    Thanks for the comment AM … I’ve ordered it, it’s currently in transit, hope to have it Monday/Tuesday and finally get rid of the poxy headset I normally use!

    i’ve just started using it, and although it’s a nice looking product, i’ve had calls dropping. Others have had problems too, see the forum

    I would strongly suggest consider the philips offering due out next month, I think you’ll have better support and less problems with a brand name product:

    rizwan … i’ve already bought the dual phone, haven’t tested it yet though. Thanks for the links, maybe i’ll need to return the dualphone if it has as many problems as they claim on the forum.
