Adsense Excel Reports

I was pricking around with Excel trying to make some reports so I could more easily monitor my Adsense stats. I made the following template and thought that I may as well share it. It’s very basic (averages and totals each of the columns, draws a few basic graphs ) but it might save you the trouble of doing similar. If you decide to give it a lash let me know how you get on and I might try an improve on it.

Download zip file.

To use it is simple, export your adsense data in csv format then just copy and paste the monthly data into the boxes. You’ll probably need to remove the $ signs from the raw data first – just use search & replace, takes a jiffy.

  1. That new arithmetic challenge in these comments is a tricky one! “Answer the question!” and I didn’t even see it in the first place! :)

How is your Adsense experiment going anyway? Is it bringing you any joy? I have to say I don’t mind the ads at all! They’re in a good place, prominent and still unobtrusive.

  2. I thought Finns were good at maths? :)

No joy, as I kind of expected. I earned €0.15 so far :)
Google ads are more suited to content sites, they don’t seem to work so well on blogs.

  3. I am good at maths! Just not the easy maths.. which was proven again when my first attempt to leave this comment failed. I was convinced 6+4 was 10 but then it wasn’t.
