We’re go for launch…

Right here we are … WordPress in all her glory.
A few things you should note:

• template isn’t near done, this was some template I downloaded which I bastardised, colours look a bit dodgy
• categories don’t work just yet, I need to edit every single fucking post (450+) and manually set the category, which will take some time
• link section is a bit mixed up, will get it sorted soon
• the post order is a bit strange, problem with the import script I reckon

Sin é, that’s about it. It’s late here, and I have to be in work in about 5 hours so these problems will just have to wait …

  1. Best of luck with it. I know fiddling with the template and stuff is always a hassle. I’m sure you’ll get it in great shape though.

Go raibh maith agat a UI ! The template is the part I hate doing …
what do you think of the colours, do they look odd? They are the default colours for this theme exacpt for the black header. I don’t know whether to change the entire colour scheme or leave it as is.

  3. It’s looking good, maca.

I downloaded Sage yesterday. Still playing around with it, but it looks useful. I’ll do a comparison between it and Safari’s RSS reader in a post next week.

  4. Getting there Gerry, lots of tweaking to do!
Aye, let me know how it works out.

  5. I like the colour scheme. Then again who am I to talk about colour schemeswhen my blog is coloured Oirish to the max!

People over 65 can’t view my blog or their eyes melt.

On anothe note, I like the way the words fill the screen underneath the comments box as I type. Very slick.

Yeah, Mick complained before (and rightly so) that the text box was too small, so when I got WordPress I installed this plugin. I think it makes it easier to proof read the posts, not that it’ll help my spelling much mind :)

  7. Nice template. It’s very clean and easy on the eyes.

  8. Thanks Michele!
