Second term for McAleese

Well that’s it, following the close of nominations at midday today Mary McAleese was the only candidate in for the job and so remains President of Ireland for a second term. I’m just happy Dana didn’t get a nomination.

    What would Dana have done if she had become President? Sing songs for visiting politicians? :)

    God that’s a scary thought! I can imagine her belting out a few bars of some religious tune at an international summit.
    What an ambassador she could be! ;)
