Money to burn…so to speak

A bank in Hong Kong (or rather their contractors) made a serious fuck-up when they sent 83 security boxes full of goodies to the scrap yard to be destroyed! They were supposed to throw out empty boxes during the refurbishment of one of the banks branches but somehow managed to take full boxes from the [...]

Ireland vs. France

Ireland takes on France this saturday. Latest good news is that Trezeguet will miss the game due to injury. Septembers news (I don’t have any updated info) was that Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele quit the team, as have Zinedine Zidane, Lilian Thuram, Bixente Lizarazu and Marcel Desailly. And with Patrick Vieira suspended this is an [...]

Second term for McAleese

Pitcairn sex trials

Interesting case on the tiny British-colony of Pitcairn [Pitcairn Gov | CIA Factbook] where 7 men are facing various accusations including rape even though it’s a “tradition” for women as young as 12 to have sex. Their defence is likely to include a challenge to Britains authority over the island.

Be John Kerry in shoot em up

Kuma Reality Games has created a Vietnam war game where you can play the role of John Kerry and lead a 3-boat team through the Meykong Delta (among other missions). The first and third-person, tactical squad-based military game for PC is based on the navy’s records of the encounter on 28 February 1969 where John [...]

Racist attack at Keane home

Roy Keane was the target of a racist attack of sorts on Sunday. “..vandals set off industrial fireworks outside his home. The powerful rockets were ignited from a crate daubed with language of a racist and abusive nature”. Nice.
