Java is a programming language and is quite difficult, you wouldn't need this for a webpage anyway. Maybe you mean javascript which is very different than java, you wouldn't need this either but you could get free scripts off the web. It's also handy if I need to make files available via FTP for someone. For the domain name, I chose the name of a beloved dog of mine, who has since passed away.
