Most people in Wales haven’t heard of Datblygu, including the majority of Welsh speakers which is a shame.

There are MP3′s here from the band’s first 3 cassettes. I haven’t heard these before as I have dial-up + speaker at home, and broadband but no speakers at work

The good news is that Nic is working on a site called http://www.datblygu.com which hopefully will have loads of MP3′s by the band. When the site’s completed I’ll be bleating on about it on Gwenu dan Fysiau and Smiling under Busues

For only a £11 (+£1 outside UK posting) I’d highly recommend Radio Crymi Playlist Vol 1 for a taster of alternative Welsh popular music, which includes 4 or 5 Datblygu tracks (out of 40)

I thought of one other possibility “Fiftypockets” … a reference to Fourty Coats …

Sadly, because of the way that Welsh language music was portrayed in the late 80′s/ early 90′s I didn’t even know about them untill 4 years after they split

Although their song’s are now played on Radio Cymru, they were unofficially censored when the band were in their prime. Many Welsh speakers only came across them as John Peel was such a huge fan and gave them loads of sessions.

What are you trying to say, that I make guys horny? I had no idea I had such an effect on men. Now i’m worried.
