Because the SSI-Dev website is a tutorial site on hot topics (html/css) I don't really need to write much or often, just keep up to date with the technology. The technology isn't changing so much, and once the site is bringing in visitors it will be worth money. I haven't updated the site much in over a year yet it consistently brings in around 30-35K visitors per month. Plus the site has a lot of potential, add new tutorials, new content and more people will visit generating more money and raising the value of the site. The site won't really lose value unless the information becomes obsolete. This blog (i.e. Raiméis) is worth about €0.05 incl. VAT :) Well a blog is very very different from a content rich website like my main domain.
