I'm using the Irish version of Firefox but I guess it depends on the words i'm searching for, usually I get Irish pages with a mix of others unless i'm searching for a full phrase.

Thanks for the explanation.

I use Google (with Welsh interface). Although it's not possible to select 'Cymraeg' as one of the languages of sites to search either, I manage 99.9% of the time to get on a Welsh site when searching using Welsh words.

It could be to do with fact that I'm using the Welsh version of Firefox which is automatically set with the ".cy" setting. In the dark old days of IE you could surprisingly still set this. So if bilingual sites have been built properly with the .cy in the code of Welsh pages and .en in the English ones, it should all work out fine, no mater what search engine you're using? Don't ask me for the proper terms though!

Hi Rhys, Gaeilge-A, Gaelic-L, and Seanchas-L are mailing lists, Gaeilge-A is for fluent Irish speakers, Gaelic-L is general Gaelic languages discussion and Seanchas-L is for Students of Gaelic Folk Traditions, as far as I know.

Yeah there's an Irish version of Google but that's just the user interface. With Googles "<a href="http://www.google.com/language_tools" rel="nofollow">Language tools</a>" you can select the language of sites you want to search but Irish is not included.

How about Welsh, how do you search for Welsh sites?
